CHEF'S TABLE
Every Seat Is Front Row
At most restaurants the chef’s table is one hard-to-get spot. At Rōnin the whole room is the chef’s table: ten seats at an open counter, with the chef cooking and plating an arm’s length away.
What gets served there is a Korean omakase, explained on our guide.
THE EXPERIENCE
Cooked in Front of You
Each of about ten courses is finished at the counter and handed straight to you. No pass, no wall between kitchen and table. About two hours, A$195 per guest.
THE CHEF
Who You Are Watching
Chef Liam Lee trained at Gyungbokgung Hanjungsik in Seoul and led Nomad, Firebird and Studio Amaro kitchens before opening Rōnin.
