The hardest part of a small team Christmas dinner is agreeing on a menu and finding a room that is not a corner of someone else’s party. A ten seat counter solves both. Book all ten seats at Rōnin and December gives your team the chef, the room and about ten Korean courses with nothing to decide.
Rōnin is a ten seat Korean omakase at 445 Little Collins St in the CBD: about ten courses decided on the day by Chef Liam Lee, A$195 per guest paid at booking, Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm, dinner only, no dietary alterations, no BYO.
The December Release
Seats for December open on 20 November at 8pm via OpenTable, and the calendar shows which December dates are available. Friday and Saturday sittings in December go first; a Wednesday or Thursday in the first half of the month is the safest bet for ten seats together. Ten Seats, One Chef
About ten courses over roughly two hours, cooked in front of the group, A$195 per guest paid at booking, no room hire and no minimum spend. Drinks are ordered on the night. The private omakase page covers the detail.
Read Before Sending the Calendar Invite
The courses cannot be altered for individual dietaries, so a team member with a serious allergy or a vegetarian diet should not be booked in. No BYO. Service starts on time. The dietary page is the one to circulate first.
More Than Ten
Groups above ten, up to 50, are arranged by email rather than online. For a team of twelve to twenty with a menu to choose from, the CBD private rooms in the private dining comparison are the better fit.

Is there a Christmas menu?
No separate menu. The omakase is the same chef’s choice sequence every night, about ten Korean courses.
Can we bring our own wine for a Christmas party?
No. BYO is not available. Drinks are ordered at the counter.
